I do have a certain affection towards bogans, affection that entails using my video camera from a safe distance. That said, one thing I cannot stand, under any circumstance ever, is when the quintessential Aussie bogan comes out with ‘Aus - trail - ya’.

It may be the case that I am a nazi of proper pronunciation, but that withstanding, it’s ‘AUSTRALIA’. Bogans, I respect your desire to immerse yourself in your carefully constructed sub culture of Holden Commodores and Rugby shorts that sit delicately under your well rounded beer belly… However, it doesn’t give you the right to have verbal input. Because quite simply, you’ve fucked our reputation over enough already - at least allow us the correct pronunciation of the country we live in.
